Why won't people graffiti?

Not everyone reads the forums either, so a lot of people don't know that they should graffiti. I think I'm getting about 15-20 extra FP each day from people leaving graffiti in my town. It helps but when you think about needing 11500 FP to get everything, it's not that big of a deal. So I don't really sweat it, we will get there eventually.

You're assuming they pause between taps when they're clearing handshakes. If you clear a bunch of building handshakes rapidly (and i do that!) Then, sure, you see an occasional FP float to the top, but there's no real reason to believe it has a relation to the mops. For all they know, the FPs are totally random.

And this game has no standard, plain old game instructions, and most of the good stuff we have to ferret out from random places,, and few people in the real world have the luxury to spend time chatting in forums, and what's worse, the very concept of graffiti is a completely negative one, so it seems to the average person to be, at best, mischievous. And at worst, just plain rude. Nothing that you would ever do as a FAVOR to a real life friend.

Would be nice if there were a few screens of instructions embedded in the game. :(

You would think so but I'm not sure I would without the forum. When you are going through and tapping quickly, you don't always notice what's happening or why. With all the dollars and Xp floating around, I don't think I personally would have made the connection. I just keep trying to add forum members as my friends so. That I know they have the same info as me. Plus, they make great neighbors anyway.

Why would anyone care about less than a dozen FP a day on tagged buildings?
Unless if they increased the pay-off to 10FP per graffiti, I find it quite useless.

I see what you mean about them maybe not noticing where the FP comes from, I hadn't thought of that.

As for the instructions, that would definitely be helpful sometimes - either that or force everyone to join the forum lol! :lol: This place has been a life saver for me at times!

Right, so it would imply logging four or five times a day simply to clear off the graffiti, in the hopes that they would get tagged again... all because of... how much, a total of 20FP a day? I still don't see it as useful enough.

Since they took away the ability to stack handshakes, end-level players have no incentive to log in their town more than once or twice a day. And it isn't the promise of a dozen extra FP through tagging that would change that.

As to why people would go out of their way to avoid tagging a building, as already discussed, most probably don't care, others dislike the look, some think it is bad, and a few fear for their righteousness ratings.

Well I never! yup never graffiti before (except by accident) so it took me a few days to go looking for the spray cans and tap them.

Still difficult can't stand the smell
