Same difference, either way you do quests and get new stuff. Of course if it SPD people will complain that there not enough new content just a lot of stuff from last year (I'm making more predictions now) and Josh will hate it.
Not the same difference... at all really. With a new level update, you get doughnuts on a level up, it's worth building up XP, you tend to get more new characters/buildings, and a new storyline. A holiday event tends to add new quests, a few new characters, maybe one or two new buildings, etc.. But, at this point, I'll take either. Yesterday's update didn't do much for me lol 8)
Wait, you just said the same thing to describe two things just worded differently = Same difference
