Wonky EA counter - the sequel to the sequel

Not only does the XP counter lose track if you survive getting a bunch of XP over somewhere between 3 and 4 million, where it loses track of at least one round of rewards you earned and it pays you at least one less reward than you are owed, it gets worse . . .
At level 939 ( anything lower I've not had the time to test ) then if the game ends up reloading or synchronising for any reason and your XP earned and showing in the counter and the amount you really earned but it hasn't showed you yet is over 2 million XP it will mean all you will get is a counter reset to zero and an apology bonut round.
It means if you tap SkyFinger or collect everything yourself and then shut down or head to the friends maps even without the dreaded Bart screen, you will not get all those XP points you worked hard to earn if you played well and earned a lot.
If you get the BSOD or choose to reload or pop to neighbours you will lose out.
Good news, the cash counter works if you haven't already hit the 4 and a bit billion maximum but the XP is a total wash out until EA can borrow a kid from a nearby coding club to make a working counter.
PLAN B - EA count it all and give everyone 3 donuts for every million of the wasted XP and time when the server goes pop or they get fed up of waiting for the What I Collected junk icons floating all over the screen to clear
  • That's the weird thing though @1EllieG7294, I never had the issue back when I was still farming unless I got Barted.
Back then I could place 50 RTTs and then collect 50 donut spins, but lately just hitting the skyfinger and waiting for everything to tumble in results in just 2 spins then when I sync & come back I get the apology roll & my XP bar set to zero.
It's clearly holding some of the XP back, cos no matter how long I waited for the screen to clear & the counter to finish it would still not give me everything I earned.
I'm a naturally cynical person, I know, but I can't help feeling like this is deliberate somehow. I confess I know nothing about coding but it seems that @1-Graham-S can see a simple solution, yet nobody at EA even wants to admit that it's a problem.

  • @1EllieG7294 - I tested by collecting half of a single one hour daily challenge task ( the rest of my Springfielders were buying milk elsewhere ) and I got 1/40th of what I earned. 0.025% !!
EDIT - It's 2.5% (oops) but picture this - Imagine if your wages department got interrupted and only gave you 2.5% of your pay, would that be OK too ??
No trucks, KEMs or other form of farming involved there, just collecting a task and getting ripped off.
The smaller of my two towns is now past the point where regular gameplay results in getting cheated.
You may be right that they do not want to fix it, but that just makes me feel even more ripped off !!
What's that phrase ?? Play the game, EA, and play fair !!
