Don't understand the hate towards easter. Easily the most enjoyable event in the last two years for mee. Best prizes, most fun currency, good quest line.. Objectively speaking it was very good. People who are negative just can not stand to not have won everything.
I agree about the prizes - the were pretty good. I think the frustration comes from the mechanism awarding the prizes - The three wheels. I managed to get everything, some stuff through amazing luck and some because I spent my donuts to up my odds/have more chances on the wheels.
Even though I got everything, I found the wheels to be extremely frustrating. I can imagine it was 10x more frustrating to those who saw something they really wanted to have (maybe just because they loved the item or the character) and kept landing on Easter Trees or Easter Ponds. PRIZES for an event should be something everyone has a chance of winning, not just for those who have donuts they can spend (and can't really afford in the first place...).
If one spends donuts, it should be for a premium item., not because they feel it is their only chance to get something that EA has listed as a prize.
EDIT: I just wanted to add that with this event EA made the prizes not only attainable for the players but have given everyone ample time to get the prizes - I think that is a sign that they took into account what people were saying about having to grind to get the prizes/the prizes being nearly impossible to get. I think they should be given credit for listening.
