There are players who did win everything, and are still negative. (At least one of them has already posted in this thread.) Your postulation is flawed.
Like me, my frustration was that when you have enough gold to go fore a box i was getting fences, gates...
And the best prizes where not easy to catch, 80 boxes till you have all? ... that has nothing to do with luck only money
And getting TO the gold boxes depended on LUCK. No matter HOW much real life money one was willing to spend. You could never be sure you were going to get a gold box, so getting 80 gold boxes was NOT a sure thing. So it was not a strict "if you're willing to waste enough real money you had the option of buying your way to all the prizes." That saying was NOT TRUE.
I was lucky to get enough gold boxes from the pink-and-blue wheels. Lucky.- I'm sorry, no-one can argue that Easter was the worst. Regardless if you hate CoC, Easter was by far the worst.
- I didn't answer because I didn't experience all of the events - I started playing right after Whacking Day ended last year.
Of the ones I've played, I'm gonna vote Valentine's Day 2014 just because it was easy and boring. Clash is also easy but not quite as boring.
As frustrating as Easter 2014 was, I kinda liked it because at least it kept me VERY involved in the game. The other events were easy for me to complete - I finished them well before they ended, so they were just an annoyance the rest of the time.
Easter was a grinder right to the end, and I liked that. It gave us a challenge!
Some people want everything all at once and want this stuff to be super-easy, but that's not fun for me. Yes, I wish it had been more practical to get all the items - it was next to impossible if you didn't spend donuts, and even if you DID, you still might not've gotten everything. But damn, at least it was a challenge!
Right now I'm staring at almost a month more of Clash with little about which to care. I'll take the crazy grinding of Easter over that... - I will be referring to Easter as "The Event That Shalt Not Be Named" from now on. Anyway, The Event That Shalt Not Be Named was my first event and really turned me off from the game. The bunnies were easy to zap and the changing of eggs was stupid.

That's your opinion. If someone didn't share the experience you had with Easter then they won't share your opinion about it.patwright4 wrote:

That's funny, because that's exactly how I feel about CoC. It has turned me off from the game and I find the nerds stupid.- I understand the hate toward the Easter event, although I don't feel the same way. I happened to get all the prizes fairly quickly, including the Faberge egg.
For me, CoC is my personal worst. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I can only visit neighbors once in a blue moon. My game constantly crashes whenever I try. :( I've lost a lot of neighbors because of it. It's so frustrating!
That being said, I have enjoyed the prizes that I've won so far. I'm just not sure that I'll be able to complete the event, primarily due to the crashing. But I still have roughly 3 weeks. It remains to be seen. annettemarc wrote:

Yeah, I'm one of those who bought his way to the prizes, and I've regretted it ever since. For a long while, I had set things up so Nelson was pointing and laughing at Shary Bobbins floating in the air. I intended it as a reminder to myself of my own foolishness.
However, I do remember a remarkable moment at the end of the Easter event: Annettemarc starting a thread where she opened up her feeder towns to help all comers. Good deeds aren't always rewarded, but they should be recognized. That something like this was even contemplated indicates just how bad things were in those final days.Mopurglar wrote:
Easter was the worst... That said, one aspect of events that was better then, but has been getting progessively worse, is neighbor interaction. At least with Easter, neighbors could tangibly help each other by visiting and filling baskets. For CoC, while neighbors are free to raid each other, it's more a gesture that is mutually detrimental.
This seems to me the best argument against C of C. If it winds up being a precursor for a new style of gameplay, this poll might need to be taken again.- I do wish the weighing of friends vs random towns was geared more towards friends, but I do like the visiting of random towns a lot and I wouldn't mind if that option stayed in future events, provided it was done well and didn't cause people to crash.
- The people not voting for Whacking Day were obviously not around to experience it.
