Event Question - New Tapper

Some items are still useable the same way after the event. For example, if you got the DTD and store it until the next Halloween Homer should still have the task to be tortured on it. Hugo should still be a playable character with tasks.

Other items will change their function if they have a use that is closely tied to the event. Tribal huts or portals, for example, which produce aliens, will either switch to in-game cash payout, or become decorations.

Many people stored their pumpkin houses from last year and were able to put them out to obtain a daily pumpkin from them. That was because the DTs decided to make them functional again for this event. Had they not been, they would have functioned like any other building, with an in-game cash payout.

This is why a number of people figure out ways to keep some decorations out and you might want to as well. Some items do switch to an in game cash payout.

The usual plan that most follow is: store most decorations, keep out anything with a payout. You could keep out larger decorations if you have room for them and you like the way they look, or you could store everything. It's a personal choice.

However, if we're talking quest lines, that's a separate subject. If you haven't completed a quest line and you store it, I have no idea if you can continue the quest line a year from now. My gut on that is no but someone else may want to contribute info here.
  • if we had more land we can keep everything out in our Springfields. but to make room some of us redecorate and store things in inventory
  • Don't forget to check if decorations have a multiplier before you store them. I hide items I don't want seen behind buildings.

Seriously, especially if you're a new tapper, you're going to want all the multipliers you can get until you get caught up. Also some items when they first come out do not provide a multiplier at first, then EA brings them back as a donut item and they gain a multiplier so keep an eye out for that too if you start storing things.
