I just posted this information on the poll thread:
The leaving the device on for 15 minutes only works if you have access to an iPhone 5 based on my experiences and other posts I have seen.
- I have a 2nd gen iPad.
- Got the Harps after sending Wiggums to El Chemestri to eat.
- Tried the leave the device fix on my iPad but kept crashing back to the iOS home screen.
- Saw suggestions to try it on the iPhone 5 (something to do with memory).
- Download game to my iPhone 5, left it on, and got back in.
- Am now back to playing TSTO on my iPad.
You only need to use/borrow iPhone 5 to get past the crash. Once you do, you are good to go on your normal device.
I have seen posts from players with iPhone5's who have been kind enough to log into other people's Springfields to get them past the Harps. So if you don't have an iPhone 5, and know a fellow TSTO player who does, that would be the route to go.
