Question: Premium characters stand-alone vs come with a building

Actually... there are some exceptions to that.

Characters that were originally not premium (such as Barney with the Bowlerama or Miss Springfield with the Sleep-Eazy Motel) pay out like regular characters rather than premium, even if you buy them with donuts after the event.

There's a Wiki that has all the payout details for each building and character that's easy to find if you Google it, it's a useful reference when you're considering making donut purchases.
