This is why I put a block of quickly regenerating houses (Brown Houses, 5 minutes) next to my start point. I've also found that somehow when I tap a dollar sign, NOT a handshake, sometimes I see a name float up, so I try to clear one each row at least once a day, usually 3-4 times.
This has probably been posted elsewhere, but I worked it out myself, just for fun. You can get a maximum of 810 friend points from other Springfields in this manner:
10FPx30 = 300
5FPx30 = 150
4FPx30 = 120
2FPx30 = 60
1FPx180 = 180
I rushed through one day to see how quickly I could get through all 96 other Springfields I have, and if I don't search for buildings to graffiti (which I usually do if I'm not rushing) I can get through them all in 20 minutes.
