Yeah, I agree.

Also an alternative solution would be making the fighter's attributes and skills go lower over time after a certain age, just like it happens in real life. This would also make more sense than forcing the player retire in their prime during their early 30s.

@Yoru34Kenshi Also a great idea, what we need is more options so we can play the career the way we want. So adding those ideas from you and me would definitely give us options to play with.
