I hope this message finds you well. As passionate members of the UFC 5 community, we need to bring attention to a serious issue that affects the authenticity and fairness of Create-A-Fighter (CAF) customization. The lack of proper UFC Venum-colored shorts and gloves with red and blue corner tape for CAFs is a glaring oversight that must be fixed in an upcoming patch.
Key Issues That Need Immediate Attention:
UFC Venum-Colored Shorts for CAFs with Fighter Names
Official UFC roster fighters have access to all Venum-colored shorts, yet CAFs do not.
These shorts are a fundamental part of the UFC brand, and excluding CAFs from them creates an incomplete experience.
Players should be able to equip all available Venum shorts (2023 & 2024 versions) with their CAF’s name displayed, just like official fighters.
Proper UFC Gloves with Red & Blue Corner Tape for CAFs
CAFs are currently restricted to UFC gloves with white tape, whereas real UFC fighters use gloves that match their assigned red or blue corner.
Every UFC event follows this standard, and UFC 5 should reflect that by automatically equipping CAFs with the correct glove tape based on their corner placement in Fighter Select.
This is a simple but crucial fix for realism.
Expanded CAF Customization & Fighter Presentation Options
Shorts Variety: Unlock all UFC Venum shorts for CAFs, including Gold, Yellow, Brown, Red, Blue, Green, Champ, Camo, and UFC 300 designs.
Text Customization: Allow players to change the color of their fighter’s name on shorts.
Walkout Gear: Provide an option to wear walkout shirts in offline modes for added realism.
Why This Needs to Be Addressed in UFC 5 & UFC 6
Realism & Immersion
UFC 5 aims to deliver a realistic MMA experience, yet the lack of proper CAF gear takes away from the immersion. Venum shorts, red and blue gloves, and walkout gear are essential details that complete the presentation of UFC fights.
Fairness & Community Support
The offline CAF community has supported UFC 5, yet CAFs are treated as an afterthought compared to official fighters. Official fighters have full UFC gear access, while CAFs remain limited. This inconsistency is frustrating for those who create and play with custom fighters.
Simplicity of Implementation
These fixes are not complex and should be feasible within a patch update. Other fighting games have successfully improved their customization options, and UFC 5 must follow suit.
Our Request for the Next Patch:
✔️ Unlock all available UFC Venum shorts for CAFs and display fighter names.
✔️ Fix CAF gloves to include red and blue corner tape for proper presentation.
✔️ Expand CAF customization with more shorts, text color options, and walkout gear.
This is an urgent request because patches for UFC 5 have slowed down, but this fix can be done in a quick downtime patch to finally resolve this long-standing issue. Ignoring this problem now would be a sign of laziness and lack of attention to detail. If not fixed in UFC 5, this must be corrected in UFC 6, or it would be an unacceptable omission.
We appreciate all the hard work put into UFC 5, but it’s time to complete the CAF experience with proper gear, just as it should be. Thank you for taking the time to consider this request. We look forward to seeing these changes in an upcoming patch!
