Game starts in arcade mode half the time

There is a setting where you simplify the controls so that you only have the triangle button for all types of punches, the X button for all types of kicks, square to clinch and circle to perform a takedown. 

This setting can be enable for new players.

When I start the game, 50% of the time this setting is enabled, but it is not toggled on in the fight settings. 

The only solution is to restart the console, and hope it doesn't happen again. 

I've had to do this multiple times and occasionally it works, but more often than not I just go back to UFC4 instead. 

What is this? There are frequent updates, why is this still an issue?
