Longevity Disable Option

Your game on PlayStation is rated 3 stars, significantly lower than the previous UFC installment. To say on a general thread pertained to longevity, regarding the latest patch,  “This does include changes to longevity, based on the feedback that's been provided” and then requesting people giving the suggestions, to try out the game not accommodating or appeasing those suggestions, I mean, It is not looking good going forward.

If suggestions continue to be ignored, like 2K when they released WWE 2K20, there will be a fall off and a loss of profit due to lack of content, replay-ability, & bugs .They had to completely do a re-work but at the least they respect and listen to their players to a degree to TAKE SUGGESTIONS INTO CONSIDERATION.

A longevity enable/disable option is something I’ve requested since UFC 2. Respectfully and with well thought out consideration, all can agree that would bring not only profit, but more profit as it adds more replay-ability for offline players. That is good for ratings.

Personally me, due to the let down of the longevity not being an enable/disable option & lack of content provided for single-player based players, I don’t really play the game much anymore & tend to delete it instantly, each time I reinstall it on my system. This is because nothing is different compared to the last. This can be argued with, but that won’t change your ratings. Going based off ratings for UFC 5 & 4 on PlayStation alone, I don’t think people would disagree.

Just a suggestion, take a suggestion. The longevity disabled option would go well with the game overall and make it enjoyable. However, I expect nothing less but a patch note you the DEVs see fitting, which seems to be the underlying cause for complaint. If it’s nothing we the consumer ask for, nothing is ultimately fixed. Do as you wish, it’s not my Intellectual Property.

All I am saying is that Mike Tyson is boxing at the age of 60 and with his attitude probably will fight until he’s dead & you’re telling me I can’t manage my life on a game because the game decided for me like I need help ? ‘Fight Night Round 3’, created by EA, even had the option to retire when I want to. That was PS2. All I’m asking is for a disable longevity button so I can look 20 at the age of 90 and still compete because I paid 100$ like a dummy to do what I want in a game offline.

Of course I mean this with the upmost respect, intending no disrespect however, it’s truly disheartening to see these changes aren’t accommodated for. This has potential to be a great and not a mixed reviewed game.

Additionally if I may, I just copied and pasted my responses from another general thread. I am very passionate about this and would like to voice the opinions many share with me right now on that thread in hopes for a response from EA.

Thanks,

  • @JaydizzleActual1 ***it’s truly disheartening to see that these changes being made aren’t accommodating the majority, or in this case maybe the minority of players*** typo correction to the last part of the first message ^^^

I hope the enable/disable longevity can be a feature.
  • @JaydizzleActual1EA can try to argue the point of “realism” which is fair, but when you look at it from a casuals perspective, having the option to play career mode offline as long as you want, would make the game along with its mechanics and all, all the more enjoyable, and then just retire whenever you want. Thats why I’m saying make it an option for the people who would want that. Somebody needs to send this message to EA because  if that’s not a money grabber neither is what they’re currently doing, eventually everyone’s gonna lose faith altogether and they’ll lose numbers until there’s nothing and they’re forced into fixing things.

My only literal problem is literally just the longevity in career mode. I like the graphics, the fighting mechanics, everything else, but that’s my only peeve and it’s been that way with every installment. I gave up after UFC 2 then decided to hop back on UFC 5 to see the longevity system is all the same.

Please fix it EA. Add the option to disable it, it would literally not kill you to add a button to disable it and re-enable it if we want.

  • EA hates offline players because they don't pay microtransactions, they will keep making the offline experience dull and lifeless so that the players have no choice but to switch to online and start paying for stuff, you can see that in FIFA too, it's the same regurgitated formula of making you wait in the hub for hours while you do stupid drills you've already done 100 times, EA will keep turning a blind eye on every issue that makes offline play worse and they will teeter on the edge of what is acceptable to not receive too much criticism and tank their reviews, the longevity option is pure evidence of that fact, it's so easy to implement and players have been asking for it for YEARS, yet they act as if the issue doesn't exist and the offline players don't exist, because why would they acknowledge them? They already payed for the game, now they either wait for the next UFC or just don't play, they don't care either way, they wanna squeeze every bit of money out of players and so, they will make the online experience better and better while keeping frustrating issues in the offline experience.
