November Update - New Fighters, Alter Egos, and Gameplay Updates

Hey UFC fans,

Patch 1.16 is now live with two new rostered fighters as well as a gameplay fix that addresses an issue that allowed the submissive fighter to immediately transition out of ground and pound after a diving punch or when the dominant fighter goes to postured mount after pouncing on a cage knockdown. There is also a fix that addresses a camera angle issue that may occur after the reversal from full guard bottom to full guard top, against the pass to half guard (single leg reversal).

Let’s check out the two new rostered fighters now in UFC 5:

Carlos Prates -  One of two “Fighting Nerds” coming to UFC 5. Carlos made a splash in the UFC by KO’ing his opponent in the second round and since then he has rattled off two more KO victories. Prates’ fighting style is Muay Thai through and through, he uses each of his eight limbs to devastate his opponents until they can no longer stand with him and decide to shoot for a takedown but by then it’s too late, and the next thing they know they are looking up at the ref asking what happened. Precise fast striking, clean footwork and good takedown defense are what you get with Prates in UFC 5.

Jean Silva (Featherweight and Lightweight) - To say Jean Silva is a wild man is an understatement, just take a look at his post-fight debut where he barks at the camera after knocking out his opponent in the first round, or the war he had in his last fight with the ultra-tough Drew Dober. “Lord” may get a little wild but he’s also well-rounded, strong, and can take a punch or two or three. Silva is also on a three-fight win streak in the UFC, a testament to his team and training with the Fighting Nerds. Powerful punches and kicks and a stellar takedown defense round out Silva’s game in UFC 5.

thanks for the update. I still think that 3 or 4 new fighters over another 1 year before lowering the pace would be more suitable and that the top 15 should be an obligation but I must admit that these 2 fighters are great additions 😉

@EA_Mako carlos is a southpaw they got him in the game as a orthodox fighter with 2 star switch stance and irl his legs are longer than his body he has trex legs in the game please send this comment to the devs and tell them to watch these fighters at least their highlights its too many wrong stances now makes us think they dont even watch fights only look at stats and what it says on ufc page he is a switch stance fighter irl how does he have less stats on switch stance then ben askren man

  • The disgraceful state of ranked and the new meta, which is more arcade-ish than ever, has made the game unplayable for me.

To celebrate EA UFC's latest patch, I gladly purchased Undisputed for the simple fact that it is a combat sports game made by a studio that isn't EA!  The developers of that game should really thank you for pushing hoards people to buy their game, however flawed it may be.
