Perfectly stated.
The "economy" of the game is to simply wear you down to the point you hate the game. Seriously. What happened to having fun in games? Relaxing satisfying enjoyment knowing you spent hours and hours grinding away to have that ultimate character do serious damage to their opponents offline? That character where all stats were at 100 and it was only in your house, on your console, not online and there for your total enjoyment?
Why do I spend $100.00 on a game, only to feel like a little child being lectured by EA on how I play the game I bought?
The whole premise of making games so difficult and absolutely worthless for enjoyment value or entertainment is killing off the industry. Well, that and the woke BS but thats another topic altogether.
To be honest, I have NOT turned UFC back on after I posted that. I could care less about new characters, clothes, intros....tournaments....no thanks.
I picked up a few other games such as Street Fighter 6 and have been completely addicted to it. That my friend, is how you create a game. Now..dont get me wrong, there were plenty of times where I just about threw the controller through the TV screen because some of the matches and level differences didnt seem to matter with a cracked out AI opponent who could not be touched for nothing, but none the less, the game is amazing.
Mortal Kombat 1 í another sweet game, and IM looking forward to WWE ultimate package here in March...
But..here EA is, sitting with a golden franchise and basically ruining it with stupid crap like what we have described and not one person from their staff or team has responded and there has been no updates to fix it either.
Basically, EA created a "chase the pink dragon" game (South Park reference) and there is no hope for it at this point.
ON that note, this will be the last EA game I ever buy. Once bitten, twice shy. Eveytime I give EA one more chance, I realize they dont deserve it.
