My platform is PlayStation, the mode is online career, the moves affected are lead body front kick, lead body knee. These moves had normal animations for 3 stars but immediately as they hit 4 stars the animations appear to have reverted to 1 star.
I poked around and it seems this bug was more prevalent several years ago and was *patched* but maybe these moves slipped under the radar. Hope this can reach someone who can hunt down the cause of this bug.
Update: it's all the lead leg "straight moves" lead leg front kick to head and body and lead knee they're definitely bugged and have regressed in animation with a level up to level 4
Further note: this has been a bug for over a year now, I remember at every prestige of my online career mode heavyweight my animations for those kicks would revert in quality after reaching level 4
Wanted to give more details, it's a heavyweight created fighter, online career, and it's at prestige 27, also I can look at the one star moves on my inactive fighters and the animations have 100% reset to level one, they are the same animations for the lead body knee and lead front kicks to head and body. Really would like a fix for this because I like kickboxing and I am being punished for leveling up my moves
Still bugged as of 3/13/26 the more I play I think it's not just me, seeing a lot of fugly lead front kicks from very high rank fighters, but some people, confirmed through talking aren't experiencing this bug. hoping this will get traction soon
Bumping the thread again because this seems like maybe an easy bug to fix, but idk, maybe the devs can't recreate it in which case I'm always peeking on the forums waiting for a response to help out, these kicks are pretty important especially for countering boxers as a kickboxer
