Re: Abusing striking dynamics

Spoiler

Great tips there. Im definitely gonna steal that lead hook feint into a rear knee lol can’t believe i never thought of that. Upon writing my initial message i actually managed to beat that annoying style easier by using a jab then just going for a rear uppercut and just mastering the timing of if i know they arent going to come forward i feint it and if they duck down out of distance to avoid a straight shot the uppercut will then land on their block and do good block damage. I also found it helpful to go on practice mode and literally just side step a rear body teep kick around 200 times. I know that sounds useless but it actually made it much more easier for me to react to the strike coming and then ill go for a headkick on the side theres more vulnerability damage on. I didn’t even know this but if both fighter are in orthodox and your opponent missed a rear strike. Then your lead strikes do more damage.

Also if you can get them worried about your knee for one whole rd with out throwing a flying knee it really opens up that possibly in the second round. Same with just throwing body and leg for a rd then going to the head in rd 2 or after your first leg kick they almost always block low. Also if you jab to the body and throw an over hand, you can hit the body during their lean and when they return to base crack them but you risk getting hit with an uppercut.

I feel the practice mode, that's where I got my counter sub from transition denials on point and my counter sub/throws from being taken down. I also will practice combos in there like that body hook feint to head kick. It covers an insane amount of distance. I may start using my YouTube to post a few tricky moves then share.
