Im also having the same exact problem but mine with a message from Matt Devalles and it’s not allowing me do anything. I’ve had this problem for 2 days now. Rest my PlayStation multiple times and still the same thing. I cant progress in career mode due to this issue.

Exact same problem here bud , can’t do anything , can’t respond , can’t skip, nothing I’m literally stuck in career mode

Exact same problem. Have restarted multiple times and just freezes completely when this guy texts you. Completely ruined what was an addictive experience. I was going to buy it after the trial but no interest if this is the state of the game.
