Body teeps and body side kicks need better pushback in UFC 6
One gameplay issue I think UFC 6 should look at is the pushback on body push kicks.
I am mainly talking about the rear body push kick, lead body push kick, body teeps, and the spinning body side kick. Not the jumping spinning body kick, though. That one actually feels fine.
The problem is that a lot of these body push kicks do not create enough separation when they land. In real life, a clean teep or body side kick is supposed to manage distance, stop pressure, and push the opponent back. But in UFC 6, it sometimes feels like the kick lands, but the opponent barely gets pushed away.
Even worse, after throwing the kick, your own fighter model sometimes does this weird forward movement where he kind of slides or dashes toward the opponent after the animation ends. Instead of creating space, you end up almost face-to-face with the other fighter.
That feels really awkward because you can get stuck right in front of them, and it almost feels like you are animation locked for a moment. Even if you try to block, it can feel delayed, and the opponent gets an easy hook, uppercut, body hook, or combo just because the kick did not create the distance it should have.
This makes body teeps and body side kicks feel risky in a way that does not seem intentional. These kicks should be useful for range control, but right now they can sometimes put you in a worse position even when they land.
The body spinning jumping kick is actually a good example of how it should feel. That kick has solid pushback, creates proper space, and your fighter does not just launch himself face-to-face into the opponent afterward.
I think EA should adjust the pushback and recovery animations on body teeps, rear/lead body push kicks, and the spinning body side kick so they actually create separation when they land clean. They do not need to be overpowered, but they should feel like proper distance-management tools instead of accidentally putting you in boxing range.
