Career mode gets boring quickly

So let me start off by saying I love all the updates to the game and the career mode, my problem is that I got to double champ and the GOAT status within 2 days of playing.

Once you reach GOAT status the game gets super boring, just accepting more fights and learning new moves but there's nothing left in the story to do, why not go for crazy options like a 3rd belt title? Or the option to flick up and down weight classes to fight for those belts as well, things are possible in a virtual game that wouldn't be in real life and its just hit a dead end after you reach GOAT.

Ultimately my personal goal is to fill the belt with rubies before my longevity runs out.

Also the tweet system doesn't work, I have a note from Connor Mcgregor but no actual tweet from him, only replies from bots, and why can't I reply to other fighters who talk negatively to create more rivalries?

And way, main point is there's not much else to look forward to at this point and that's a shame because everything else was such a grind and exciting to achieve.

The carrer it self was disappointing. No weight ins, no pre press-con, no post press-con. Very little media events to take part in to build up the excitement trough out the carrer.
  • Some great points there, that would make it more immersive and real.

There are also some other glitches still occurring such as not being able to use the leg lock submission and subsequently learning another takedown which requires leg locks to be at least level 3.

When you invite a fighter and the training goes on longer than 2 or 3 minutes, the stamina doesn't regenerate or the correct move lands but you don't get the points for it.

The tweeting system doesn't really work at all and would be more fun if it was more interactive and usable so you can build relationships with fighters or create more rivalries or lose or gain more followers.

And again the main thing is that it just hits a dead end after Goat status like I'm supposed to try and unlock every move or get every attribute to full stats and fill the belt with rubies before my longevity runs out, it just seems like a disservice to people's hard work to get to that stage and it just fizzles out to the point where the most exciting thing to do would be to start over with a new fighter.

Thanks for your input though, I feel like they can listen to these conversations and make the game better going forward.

  • Career mode is fun, but in my opinion it could use some work.

Firstly I don't think that it has been represented in the way the trailer indicated. There is no ability to call out fighters.

When another fighter "tweets" you on social media and you respond to start a rivalry, that's not the player calling them out. That's them calling the player out, and the player responding. It doesn't make sense that we can't use the exact same system we use to build connections with other fighters to call fighters out also.

Also the call-out system is backwards, when you're a contender everybody is calling you out. Yet as a champ I've racked up ten defenses and haven't had a rivalry in like eight fights or had anybody take jabs at me on social media.

Same goes for weight class changes, I feel like we should be able to use weekly points to tease a weight change and after a fight or two get offered fights up or down a division depending on what we chose. It's too much of a Conor McGregor simulator, why do you have to win the belt and challenge another champ to change weights when so many fighters go up and down based on other factors related to their career trajectory?

Another thing I realised, why is every sparring training session an "easy" challenge? We should be able to choose harder ones for better rewards or to better certain moves (like leg locks to get it up to a level where we can actually use them!)

I keep remembering more things, the injuries don't make any sense, I lose half a star of an attribute that costs around 12 evolution points to get back but then I can rest or pay to gain points back, I just paid for the 50k luxury medical retreat which has +100 weekly points next to it and got no weekly points back at all?

That's so confusing and doesn't make any sense.

Also check the picture, the invite a fighter has a weird number under it for the weekly points required.
