Gameface!!!

Right

I am on the verge of returning this game because your absolute pile of rubbish website will NOT allow me to edit my gameface. I go to the gameface site and have the plugin installed but when I login it just redirects me to your homepage which shows me another login screen. It will NOT let me sign in anywhere other than the help section.

[Comment Removed, there is no need for that. - Admin.]

Now, when can i expect to update my gameface? I'll take the game back to the store if i can't. You have until 5 oclock to answer otherwise I'm going straight back to the store before closing time.

  • Hi there.

This was frustrating me for a while until I realised what the problem actually was.

It's not actually a problem with EA's site, but the problem is your web browser.    You need to clear your browser's cache, which should be the first port of call for any issues logging in to or updating any website.  After you done this, refresh the page and you will be able to log in.

    To do this:

    Chrome

    In the browser bar, enter:
      chrome://settings/clearBrowserData

Select the items you want to clear (e.g., Clear browsing history, Clear download history, Empty the cache, Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data).

From the Obliterate the following items from: drop-down menu, you can choose the period of time for which you want to clear cached information. To clear your entire cache, select the beginning of time.

    Click Clear browsing data.

    Firefox

From the Tools or History menu, select Clear Recent History.
If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible.

From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, select the desired range; to clear your entire cache, select Everything.

Click the down arrow next to "Details" to choose which elements of the history to clear. Click Clear Now.

    Internet Explorer 8 and higher

From the Tools or Safety menu, select Delete browsing history....
If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible.

Deselect Preserve Favorites website data, and select:

Temporary Internet files or Temporary Internet files and website files
Cookies or Cookies and website data
    History

    Click Delete.

    Safari

From the Safari menu, select Reset Safari....

From the menu, select the items you want to reset, and then click Reset. As of Safari 5.1, Remove all website data covers both cookies and cache.

    Hope this helps  🙂

Finally got it to login, but now its taking an ice age to just load a facial hair style. And you cannot update your gameface ingame.... This just isn't worth the time or effort. Taking it back to the store. If youre going to have a feature, do it properly and actually have the web resources to make it run. EA.... most incompetent company in gaming history.

Cheers, got it to login eventually. Clearing the cache didn't work. It was the browser. EA obviously only recognises IE. Another reason EA should just give up. Only thing IE is good for is downloading a better web browser.

  • I've been having no issues and I've been running chrome.  Is your browser updated?

I just need to clarify that I don't work for EA, and neither do the vast majority of people who post in here, since Answers HQ is for requesting help from other players.   If you have a complaint or serious support issue that needs to be addressed,  then you will need to contact a game advisor.

Ahhhh ok. Then sorry for the rant. The EA website is a tremendous pain in the backside.

    Cheers for the help fella.

  • It can be a pain I agree with you there.   I can understand why EA do this though to keep technical help in one place rather than on the UFC game forum, but it means there can be a bit of confusion where to post and who exactly we are posting too.   It is a bit of a tangled web of links and redirects for sure.
