How Are Division Points Earned (per win/lost)? UFC 4 OWC

I will win 15 matches in a row and gain like 50-70 pts. lose once and I lose like 10-30pts. Even when I defeat an opponent 3-4 divisions higher than me, It's still not very many points earned. God forbid I lose a match smfh.
