Please make Ultimate Team Matchmaking better.

Hello EA,

I have to say im very dissapointes form the Ultimate Team Mode. The Matchmaking is terrible, me with my 69 OVR Player have to face 80+ guys. Its very frusttrating that even if i play with the best technic, the opponent hits me with two jabs and im dying instantly. I know the UT Mode is a Grind mode for coins, but please make it more balanced. I faced a guy who had 79 OVR,but was faster than Flash from the Comics. A Newbie cant mess with this kind of opponent. So please bring a balance to make the gamemode enjoyable.

Thank you for your time.

Greetings

(P.S: sorry for my bad english, im too tired to think clear now)

The devs for the game are taking feedback on Operation Sports. Answers HQ is more for help with games.

Edit: This is a widely reported issue. They have been doing some things to try and help. Giving packs with movesets, etc., to help with basic play. However, until they make deleting fighters not put you back in Division 1, this will always be a problem.

  • I am finding the same issue too i'm losing suspicious fights when i'm in division 2 and 3, i then ask them what division are they in and i get replies from the players saying that they are in divisions 4,5 and 6.

This is really starting to annoy me because i love this game and i want to play UT because its brilliant fun, but at the end of the day my experience is getting worse and im not having fun anymore which has stopped me playing the amount of games i would before and stopped me spending my money on this game because either way i get no where playing UT.

You can check their division by going to the tile with your Fight History and clicking on their FighterNet Profile. You bring this up with square on PS4, X on XB1. It will show their team as well.

That being said, what would you rather do? Get matched up with people your own rank and OVR, but possibly wait 10-30+ minutes to find a match. Keep it the way it is. It sucks, but they had to do it to get better matchmaking since there are so many modes for online. When you have a niche game like this, you don't have a lot of other people playing. If the numbers were higher, matchmaking would work like it is supposed to and find the best match. However, after that search they are now searching wider to find you a match quicker.

I completely agree, it's beyond infuriating when you make all the right moves but still get smashed to smithereens with one or two shots or completely dominated on the ground even though you do everything perfectly. A simple cure for the meantime would be an option of accepting a fight in a higher division or not if one in you're own can't be found, instead of having to wait until after you get creamed to go into the history and find out your level 60 something was up against a monster with almost full stats across the board. Otherwise it's pointless having divisions in the first place.

  • I agree but I found a loop hole in the game which sucks but also make sense why I was blown out of the water.

    Long story short.

Lets say you are in division 6 and your guys is 80 overall but your win lose record sucks.

What I found out that if you delete your fighter you will still keep all of your moves.

So basically you can recreate your fighter and still have him or her overall 80 and start off in Division one.

Thats how alot of people have nice records because they make their fighter as strong as possible then delete them and start in division 1 and basically beat all the noobies who are 69 or 70.

Its more common now because alot of people got this game when it first came out.

they should match people by their overall level not by division

Dude you're really late on that one, it's be a huge problem since launch, guys who keep deleting and restarting.  You lose your attribute cards when you do that, and those are the ones you need to push your stats over the top, especially once you hit level 60.

Definitely a learning experience for them. No clue why they never fixed that. I know they patched in things to slow it, but it really should have been more about matchmaking. That likely turned a lot of people off to the mode.

Honestly if they adjusted the athleticism of the bases besides boxers it would make UT a little more balanced, that plus not enough attribute cards to get them up to a competitive level. I don't get why the made grapplers so weak, the majority of UFC champs and hall of fame members come from a grappling base.

  • Hell yeah it's fun when ur so mismatched and just starting a new Avatar out and a guy just stands there and you flying knee him like twenty times then jabs you twice unconscious
