and now i was transferred and hung up on again because there wasnt anyone available to contact me for 2 hours and they didnt want to put me on the waiting list. they will contact me by email but i doubt this will solve anything. i can garantee this had something to do with the xbox one update
- Anonymous12 years agoWhat is this update you speak of? And how do I check and see if I got the update if anyone knows? I can't connect to save my life. This problem is worse then any of the ufc games made by thq.....

look on the xbox one website for system updates. they just released one. i think it messed up the game for some people

ok i just tested everything out, by myself. i disconnected my router, linksys e1200 and i connected the game directly to the internet and wala, it worked without the router. so even though it said that i had an open nat, there is still some kind of firewall stopping the game from going through online. all of my other games worked fine with the router there is something specific to ufc that isn't working with it.
somone please tell me if this solution fixes your problem as well. and if so, what are we going to do about our router situation.
i have opened ports, i even did dmz nothing worked.

So I should just disconnect my router and have it directly plugged in from my modem to xbox??
- Anonymous12 years agoI have the same router. This worked! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!
- Anonymous12 years agoYou plug your router into your Xbox? Or have your modem? Or both?

i had a modem, which is hooked up into my at&t router that they force your to use, then i have that router hooked to a linksys e1200 . i was able to play up until a few days ago, im assuming the linksys router had some kind of firmware update that messed with all of the settings. i tried dmz host i tried port forwarding and nothing worked properly. i had a thought it was probably something with the router. i disconnected the linksys e1200 and i connected it directly to the modem(my xbox) and walla. it worked. so right then and there i knew it was a router problem and i have no idea how to fix it. it might have something to do with firmware updates.
so then i tried my at&T router , and that worked and i am happily playing wireless. for some reason linksys e1200 has some kind of problem. there might be problems with other linksys routers as well.
try disconnecting your router and connect your xbox directly to the modem. if your game works fine, it is definately your router. now the problem is.
can somone please help me figure out why my linksys e1200 is not compattable with ufc when it was in the past, also it works great with other online games made by EA like titan fall and battlefield.
- Anonymous12 years agoSo to make that all short, your saying leave my router unplugged and plug my modem into my Xbox one and continue to have the router unplugged the whole time?

i guess so, i just got my router to work though finally. got the game working i had to turn off some firewall setting that were blocking some packets being sent to ea from my first router. then i had to do dmz host on my 2nd router. got things working. definately network issues for us all. why do we have to open ports and do all this work after it worked for a long time. i have no idea. kidna stupid
