Make sure you close down all your browsers when installing the plugin. I actually had this issue myself, when a "ghost" copy of internet explorer was running on my machine, preventing installation.

If all browsers are closed but you still have no luck, open up the task manager and look for any browser processes such as iexplore.exe, firefox.exe or chrome.exe and shut them down. Be sure to be careful in choosing the right process to end.
