I've quite possibly stumbled upon the fix. Previously deleting the shader cache worked for me, though now I've found another solution via Engine.ini.
You will need to navigate to AppData\Local\WRC\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor and open Engine.ini - and look for the following lines;
D3D12.PSO.DiskCache=1
D3D12.PSO.DriverOptimizedDiskCache=1
Change the values to 0. Save and close the file and try launching the game.
Alternatively, deleting the Saved folder entirely achieves the same result - though you will have some settings to change back to your preferences in game.
Deleting the folder generates a new Engine.ini without these lines.
This has worked for me, and can reliably launch the game every time without needing to delete the cache files. Wishing you all luck for the same...
@EA_GroguetFYI
I have compiled a couple of workarounds some players have shared here and I have send them to the game team.
The issue on Steam is still under investigation. I will let you know as soon as I have more information.

Hello,
I have the same problem.
When I launch the game from steam, I get the EA logo intro page, and when the bar below this window turns completely white, everything closes.
I've been unable to play EA WRC for several days.- 4 months ago
Couple posts back it was mentioned that they are still looking for a fix for Steam users, problem is I am on EA app and the game still crashes, so the supposed Fix they released for the EA App still doesn't work for me, and still waiting for a proper fix. Don't even think anymore that the EA app is the culprit, I still think it is something with the game or the anticheat engine or something like that...but who knows. It's a pitty that there is no crash log generated so the Devs could easily find the exact problem of the game crashing at launch and release a proper fix.

I had a problem with game crash after EA Sports logo.
In Windows EventLog I had this error:
EAAntiCheatService
Failed to obtain Origin directoryAfter I went to steamapps\common\EA SPORTS WRC\WRC\Binaries\Win64, started EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe and saw error with d3dcompiler_43.dll file.
I installed DirectX from official Microsoft site... and it helps!
Game works good again!
