NATIVE OPENXR SUPPORT

Good day E.A.

It has been some time since my last unanswered question, among many others, who are getting an E.A unanswers for this particular question.

Would you please take 5 seconds out of your busy schedule to confirm whether there will be native support for openXR hmds? This question has been circulating since the game was released. I have no idea why you blocked the openxr.dll, though whatever the reason it will never be good enough for those with openxr hmds.

At the very least put us out of our misery!  Please upvote this thread, maybe then it will get some well-deserved attention.

Your truly in good faith.

Concerned openxr hmd consumer....

Nur it runs good and look good but medium antialiesing causes black flickering o right eye...
Is there a solution for that?
Because antianliasing on low make look the trees terrible and flickering.

Btw. cant find you ini. Did you attached it?

EDIT: Ok, played around with the settings and was able to get rid of this flickering on right eye

In the image below you need to select the option to set steamvr as the default runtime. See how it says in the provided image -current openxr runtime:   windows mixed reality? If you click the top tab to set steam vr as default it will change the top comment to -current openxr runtime:   steamvr. This is the way.

Just open steamvr and go to settings on the steamvr app. Hope this fixes it for you. See you in the stage times man!

    Thanks for a response Sokittoya78A

Hmd is set up properly and works fine with other games.
Openxr was disabled and steamvr the "main" variant to run the G2.
Longer time ago (guess it was before v1.9?) and ive had that ingame prompt to run VR.

Steam vr settings selected to have openxr as default runtime?

^^Here i am not completly sure at this point but will check that tomorrow out. Will also look at your ini file too

Pc is in my opinion fine to run all that.

Sorry to hear mate. My G2 is working fine through steamvr. Are you sure you have the hmd set up properly? Did you try a fresh install of the wmr app? Openxr toolkit disabled? steamvr.dll selected with open composite app? Steam vr settings selected to have openxr as default runtime? Here's my latest engine .ini attached. I run a 4090 and 14900k. Adjust the settings to taste. Good luck.

  • As for me ive burried VR at least in this game because its just not working with Reverb G2.
I am also tired of hope for a solution.
I have an widescreen but its not the same and never will be.
This game would profit of proper VR implementation but after such a long time there is just one main focus.... dlc.
