Newest patch completely broke VR (not exaggeratin, it's now actually unplayable)

This newest update completely broke VR. It wasn't great before, but it was at least playable prior to the update, but now everything is completely misaligned and weirdly warped on my right eye. The left still works as it should. WTF man? Did no one playtest this update? VR is now quite litterally unplayable... This needs an immediate fix.

Edit*

I use the original HTC Vive

  • Hi,

    Right eye bug SOLVED !

Today, I tried to make this game working with the Pimax Crystal Light.

There is nothing to do, whether in SteamVR or Open XR mode, you have to put almost all the settings on low or ultra low in order to have an acceptable fluidity, but with these settings the game looks like a Playstation 2 game, with huge clipping, the track flashes, in short it is horrible and unplayable.

So I restarted the game with the Quest 3 in Oculus mode, it is incredibly better, the game is fluid with all the settings in ultra, no clipping, in short a completely different experience.

I've only tried 2 VR headsets with this game, but from what I've seen it's only playable with the Q3.

About the right eye bug, I solved this problem on my PC by changing a single setting in the game: In the Advanced Graphic Settings menu, I reduced the Post Processing Quality setting from Ultra to High. If a driving session is started when you change this setting, it may be necessary to restart the race for the right eye bug to disappear.

So this problem is solved in my case, I find it sad that no one at EA noticed that this problem was related to this setting, and did not inform the affected players by an official communication...
