VR support for Dirt Rally 2 came out approx 1 year after release.

If VR support comes by the end of April, EA WRC would have recieved VR support after only 5 months.

We all wanted VR support straight away but we all bought the game knowing it was coming after it's release. I personally hadn't expected it quite so soon if I'm being honest, what with the game being in a completely different engine.

However, there is a big difference. Dirt Rally came onto the market unexpectedly as early access and nothing about VR was announced, but was added as an additional feature.

With EA WRC 23, VR was announced from the beginning and not as a goal but as a feature. The fact that this would only come months later was successfully concealed by EA in its marketing. Just to grab as much money from the enthusiasts as possible without delivering VR in time.

So now it's nearly end of April and the date is not announced so we will see. ATM it's scam from EA.

Yes, EA Sports WRC was advertised that PC VR would be supported but It was also known that VR support wasn't coming until after launch.

    And No......

VR support has had a trailer all of it's own, with April the 30th being it's release date.

    You can watch it here................

  • April the 30th...

Oh thank you, really thank you for the VR support, it makes me super happy.
Before the launch I said that I would only buy the game when VR was supported, I bought it from the launch anyway hoping not to regret it (if VR support takes too long), but this delay of a few months is, in my opinion, correct and corresponds to what I expected.
Now we just have to hope that it isn't too buggy, that it doesn't crash, and that the optimization is correct at the start, so still a lot of questions...

So VR Beta arrived and well... expected something like that.

Menus are fine but ingame its a mess.
Tried to do 3-4 runs but it looks like ive had an aquarium in front of my eyes.... geezes christ.
I was able to drive around 20-30 seconds and when wanted to go to main menu so it crashed without any info.

    i7-13700k
    Corsair Dominator 64GB DDR5 5200MHz
    Palit RTX4090 GameRock 24GB
    Corsair HX1000i
    Samsung 980 Pro SSD M.2
    VR HP Reverb G2

So i leave it for now and wait another 2-5 months so maybe something will be fixed.....
I know...its beta...i know Reverb G2 is not even listed as supported... one of best actuel VR headsets not listed but Oculus CV1 -_-
No problem, tried it and thats all.

    Hi,

I had the same feeling when I first launched the game in VR, but all the graphics settings had been reset to zero, so it was set to the lowest resolution available in the game.

Once I changed the graphics settings, it is very correct for a beta, it's at least as beautiful as DR 2.0 in VR.
    I'm using a Quest 3 + 7950 X3D + RTX 4090.

I only did a few run to test but I was pleasantly surprised.
