Strange VR frame rate behaviour

Just posted to the reddit as well but figure its a big enough bug to post here too:

I have micro stutters and performance issues at 90hz on VR headset that aren't there at 120hz.

There are no changes to the graphics levels (medium) between framerates and I'm using reprojection. There are stutters at 90hz and its butter smooth at 120hz. I'd like to bump the graphics up and run at 90hz if the stutters are fixed.

I've found that if I slow down during the stage to a stop then the micro stutters disappear for the rest of the level. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this or experience this before?

Computer - i7 10700k, RTX 4070, 96GB ddr4, Quest 3 (Virtual Desktop - VDXR, Ultra, H264+, Wifi 6, ASW), Game has DLSS swapped and 'Auto' select on.

    Disable Hardware Accelerated Graphics Scheduling (HAGS)

    it fixed the hitches for me!

    I changed the config file, some commands were not doing a good job. please update accordingly.

    hey whats up. try my engine.ini tweaks and see what you get (please backup your original file in case mine isn't doing a good job in your case)

    R7 5800x3d Asus Rog watercooler an Rtx 5080 zotac solid oc with 32gb DDR4 Ram @ 3600mhz. Quest 3 with all the vr optimizations done dlss etc.. From the Steam forums and even I can't get stable frame rates at 80fps on this game. It works if I make it look like it's being played on a potato. I get stutters right around the middle of the stage and it drops a lot. Also my gpu is never above 70% usage. There is no way my CPU is a bottleneck when it runs every other game I have a 4k amazing fps.

    For the record even on Assetto Corsa Competizione I can achieve a stable 90fps with near epic settings at the same resolution. I don't think they really care. The worst thing codemasters have done was sell this title. If you can get dirt rally 2.0 I would do that. That can be ran maxed out at 120fps.  At least on my pc.
