VR crashes with Varjo Aero

Ok, looks like no WRC VR soup for me for now.

Game crashes with Varjo set to handle OpenXR after the first screen where it's asking if I'd like to play in VR. With SteamVR set to be OpenXR game manages to start, with horrible stutters when turning head, and crashes when I try to start a time trial. In both cases the crash is silent, with no pop-up window messages, simply goes back to Steam.

AMD 5900X, 64G RAM, and a 4090.

Both DR and RD2 work fine as they used to; so hopefully it's not a problem with my setup.

Update: Managed to get it working in SteamVR OpenXR. Horrible stutters when turning head but otherwise it runs, although doesn't look very good. I think disabling the OpenXR Toolkit globally is what did the trick. It still crashes when Varjo Base is set as the OpenXR runtime which is where I'd like it to actually work, as I'm guessing having SteamVR in the middle is the cause of the very bad stutters when turning head.

And in addition game doesnt launch in 2 d either arfter patch, unles i havr varjo on. Good job ea.

They have enabled Quad Views. Varjo Aero will render with quad views which would be great for performance. But I think they have accidentally activate it and WRC is not prepared for it.

Nothing wrong with our Varjo Aero and pc, this is EA fault to released a broken update that allows VR.
Its a shame for a billionaire company!

I've seen that some folks got it going, and disabling OpenXR was mentioned as a solution, plus the https://github.com/mbucchia/OpenXR-InstanceExtensionsWrapper/releases to get rid of a square in the middle of the screen that's due to quad views that aren't supported by WRC because it uses D3D12.
I tried disabling OpenXR Toolkit, both for a specific game and then completely, and it didn't help. Varjo Base is at the latest version (.37) today.
WRC simply closes once I select "Confirm" on the "Enable VR?" screen.

I have Varjo Aero too, same problem. Did you find a solution?
