VR cut scenes/replay car sound off

Can you give us more information about your issue? Which VR are you using? Are you wired or wireless? Are you playing on Steam or EA app?

Just did my first stage in VR and lining up for the start where it gives you the stage info and driver info there is no engine audio, really quiet as there is no engine audio until you are put into the car and after the stage there is no engine audio during replays

I use a Valve Index, launches the game just fine and I can get into the game with no issue but there is absolutely no audio. I tried all of these troubleshooting steps and no audio at all
- Attached a different set of headphones

- Restarted the software
- Launched SteamVR before launching the game
- Launched the game before allowing SteamVR to launch

- Went through Windows sounds to set as default audio out

Nothing worked and with no setting in the game to tell it that I want the VR headset to retain audio there is no way around this.

Massive disappointment as I was really looking to play this game in VR once more but it seems everyone who uses SteamVR is having issues and I dont have an Oculus headset to use.

I have the same issue. I play with a valve index on steam

Same here. Only the odd ambient sound. Weird.

Valve Index running through SteamVR. And playing wired through a USB 3.0 port. All other games run audio through the headset but not WRC.
Games included that work with audio:

Resonite

Horseshoes, hot dogs, and hand grenades

Walkabout Golf

Windows audio works through the headset too with Discord working and Youtube videos.

Same issue.

Only get ambient sounds in replays

Sure. Quest 2. Wired. Steam. 
Car and maybe ambient sounds disappearing in the animation when just before driving and in replays 

same here, Valve Index, no sound during replay. only some ambient sounds, but no engine ! The good thing is, one can not save replays either 👏
