Alter Void Nexus oobs you out the map

Recently in a ranked match, I was trying to use Alter's Void Nexus to get out of a situation and when I activated the ult, it took me below the map and killed me rather than taking me through the usual arc in the sky. I don't know how I triggered it, but it seems like it was something random. Below I've attached a clip of the said bug. Also, the bug seemed to affect my teammate as well as I looked back.
