GameSir Tarantula Pro stopped working after Split 2 update
Hi, My controller stopped working completely in Apex Legends after the Split 2 update. Controller: GameSir Tarantula Pro Connection: Wired USB Platform: Steam / Windows PC Before Split 2, the same controller worked normally in Apex Legends on the same PC. After the Split 2 update, Apex does not detect any controller input at all, including on the title screen. The controller still works normally in other games and in Windows controller testing. Troubleshooting already tried: Steam Input ON and OFF Reset Apex profile.cfg and settings.cfg Verified Steam game files Repaired Easy Anti-Cheat successfully Updated GameSir firmware to the latest version Tested XInput / Xbox 360 controller mode Restarted PC Windows recognizes the controller and button/stick inputs correctly, but Apex Legends does not respond to A/B buttons, D-pad, or analog sticks at all. This issue started immediately after the Split 2 update. Please check whether the recent controller detection / anti-cheat changes are affecting GameSir controllers or XInput devices. Thank you.
After every update game keeps crashing on boot
Just now i updated my game, and im getting the same error over and over again: commandline: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Apex Legends\r5apex_dx12.exe" -steam -game R2 title: Fatal Error - Engine Error error: [DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED] : 0x887A0006 - DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG The application's device failed due to badly formed commands sent by the application. This is an design-time issue that should be investigated and fixed. I cannot for the life of me remember how i fixed it the last time but please for the love of god if you guys want the player's money fix your game, cuz i literally cannot even launch it right now, when i was just about to buy the premium battlepass. pc specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X GPU: ASUS Prime Radeon RX 9070 XT OC Edition 16GB GDDR6 Motherboard: MSI B550-A PRO RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX DDR4 RAM 16GB (4x8GB) 3200MHz CL16 PSU: Cooler Master MWE Full Modular 750w[Map Collision] Knocked player clips through curb/floor and falls to lower level
Platform: PC (STEAM) I encountered a map collision bug during a match. After a fight, I was knocked down and started crawling backwards. I moved backwards toward the raised edge/curb behind me. Normally, my knocked character should have been stopped by the curb/map geometry. Instead, the character passed through the geometry and fell through the floor/edge to the lower level of the map. Steps to reproduce: 1. Get knocked down at the location shown in the attached video. 2. While knocked, crawl backwards toward the curb/raised edge. 3. Continue moving backwards against the edge. 4. The character can pass through the map geometry and fall to the area below. Expected result: The curb/edge should have collision and stop the knocked player from moving backwards through it. Actual result: The knocked player clips through the map geometry and falls to the lower level. I have attached a video showing the exact location and the bug occurring in-game.
[PC/Steam] Sept 15: settings reset, missing profile.cfg, launch options ignored
Platform: PC, Steam Update date: September 15, 2026 Summary Apex Legends was working normally approximately 30 minutes before the September 15 update. Immediately after installing the update, all in-game settings behaved as if reset to defaults, including keybinds, graphics, and other settings. My existing profile.cfg, settings.cfg, and videoconfig.txt were still present and unchanged, but the game stopped applying them. My Steam Launch Options were also still present and unchanged, but no longer had any observable effect. Checks and troubleshooting • Windows Controlled Folder Access is disabled. • The configuration files were not set to read-only. • I renamed C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex so the game would create a completely fresh configuration folder. • Apex successfully created a new Apex folder, confirming it could access the Saved Games path and create a folder there. • However, the newly generated profile folder contained only steam_autocloud.vdf. The expected profile.cfg was not generated. • Using this completely fresh configuration, I changed settings again, exited the game normally, and restarted it. The issue remained. Expected behavior The game should apply existing saved settings, generate the required configuration files when starting with a fresh configuration folder, and retain settings after a normal exit and restart. Previously working Steam Launch Options should continue to take effect. Actual behavior Settings behave as defaults, existing configuration files are not applied, profile.cfg is not generated in the fresh profile folder, and unchanged Steam Launch Options have no observable effect. Additional observations Several other players I know experienced the same problem immediately after the same update. The timing, reports from other players, and persistence with a completely fresh configuration strongly suggest a regression introduced by the September 15 update rather than corruption of old configuration files. On the Steam platform there are achievements associated with winning games. The ones I feel I have achieved but have not been awarded include Apex Recon, Apex Support, and Apex Controller as my trackers in-game state I have game wins with Wraith, Bloodhound, Gibraltar, and Caustic. I would also want to make sure these 4 count towards the Apex Legend achievement for winning a game with 8 different legends.
Apex Legends crashes on intro/ animation
Apex launches til the Intro/ animation then crashes without error code or crash logs I've downloaded Apex on steam before thinking it was a steam issue, but did try and resolve by verifying files but ended with the same issue, i switched to EA because the last time I played apex was on EA, which i thought that will solved the issue but it ended the same This was what I was seeing, I've tried to remove the files in C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games it didnt change anything, i've tried repairing the files and even redownloading Apex but nothing changed. Hopefully someone or this issue can be resolved soon
VK-47 Flatline Paintball Skin: Hit Confirm Sound Overlaps Gunshot
In Apex Legends, when the VK-47 Flatline is using the Paintball mode effect, the hit confirmation sound overlaps with the gunshot when hitting enemies without armor. Players can hardly tell whether the shot successfully lands only by listening to audio feedback. This issue greatly affects the gameplay experience of the VK-47 Flatline. Please improve this hit feedback audio problem.
Conduit locked and cannot be unlocked
Hello, EA_Mako , sorry for bothering you. I know there are some posts about Conduit being re-locked, but I haven't seen any resolved cases, so I decided to create a new post to explain my situation in detail. If possible, please help me fix this bug. I unlocked Conduit when the legend was released in 2023. The third attachment is a screenshot I retrieved from my gameplay recording from a few months ago. You can see the Conduit was properly unlocked at that time. On Sept 3 2026, I used EA app on a new PC to launch Apex Legends and played normally. However, on Sept 4, I logged into Apex via Steam client on my old PC and found my Conduit had become locked. I tried to unlock the legend, but the unlock button had disappeared. Details can be seen in the first two screenshots. I have tried all troubleshooting methods: re-logging in, restarting the game, rebooting my PC, and verifying the integrity of game files. I also unlinked my Steam account from my EA account, yet Conduit remained locked. Afterwards, I re-linked the two accounts. I submitted a support ticket through EA Help, but I have not received any reply to this day. I noticed that the bug I encountered is very similar to the earlier issue where Ash was unexpectedly re-locked, and seems you have already fixed that bug. Getting kicked out mid game and says (game could have ended could not join)
Was playing a few games of ranked the game was going smoothly and then suddenly the game pauses as if i lost connection and then after a few seconds it would put me in the game start screen(click to play) and then after pressing that after a few seconds it would say connection time out and then again clicking it makes it load for a few seconds and then it says (cannot re enter the game the came could have ended) this is the message i get on the title screen of the game and then it it puts me in the lobby as if i dint play the ranked game and shows the previous games information soo all that game and suddenly in the middle of the game this happenes
