Critical system freeze when running Apex Legends
Apex Legends causes a full system to freeze approximately 5–15 seconds after entering the lobby. The entire operating system becomes unresponsive (no input, no Task Manager, no BSOD). Only a forced power shutdown recovers the system. Frequency: 100% reproducible When it happens: – After shaders finish loading – While idle in lobby (no matchmaking required) What does NOT help: – Clean reinstall (EA App and Steam) – GPU driver clean install (DDU) – Easy Anti-Cheat repair/reinstall – Windows power/performance changes – Windows Memory Diagnostic (RAM check) – no errors found – Disk error scan (chkdsk) – no bad sectors or file system issues Important: Other demanding games (Battlefield 2042, Assassin’s Creed Mirage) and professional applications (Adobe Illustrator, Figma) run without any issue. This indicates a game-specific or Easy Anti-Cheat kernel-level issue. System: – Windows 11 – ASUS gaming laptop – NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU + Intel Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics iGPU (hybrid graphics) – 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11370H @ 3.30GHz (3.30 GHz) Impact: Prevents gameplay entirely and risks hardware due to repeated forced shutdowns. Note: I have been playing Apex Legends for several years on the same device without any issues. This problem started recently and is the first time the game has become completely unplayable.
Apex legends not launching after update
Yesterday, before the update, I was able to launch Apex Legends and play for a while without any issues. Today, after updating the game, I tried to open it. It’s not even launching for me, I uninstalled and reinstalled Apex, it's still not working. I updated my graphics drivers, Steam as well, restarted my system couple of times. Anyone having similar issue? Any suggestion what to do?
Regarding the Aura (Ascension Crest) display issue.
※I'm using the translation function. As the title says, I'm having trouble with my aura (ascension crest) not displaying correctly. The Silver rank aura (Ascension Crest) is displayed correctly in the lobby and legend selection screen, but when I connect to a match, the Rookie aura (Ascension Crest) is displayed. I looked up solutions and tried restarting the computer, but it didn't work. Previously (during Season 26), I confirmed that the aura (Ascension Crest) was displayed correctly for my rank, so this problem has been occurring since the middle of the game. I've seen a few people mention this but I want to as well. Apex was running fine until a couple of days ago. I click to play the game, the anti-cheat pops up for a minute then closes and then apex never opens and I start the process all over again. I've verified the files, ran the exe files as administrator, turned off firewall and antivirus software, restarted the computer, uninstalled and reinstalled apex and nothing works. I can play any other game on steam except Apex. So I guess I'm just taking a break until this gets fixed because there's nothing else I can do.
