Why haven't I received any reply after such a long time? Has my appeal been forgotten? Should I close it and reopen it?

AAAAAAlolix I suggest leaving it open since closing it may count towards your total amount of appeals, (which each player can only appeal their ban up to 3 times).
As for how long its been, chances are that the EA TOS Team hasn't forgotten about you, rather that they are busy reviewing other cases.
