[Apex-Wildcard] Grand Slam Melee Weapon Hits from a distance

I am not sure if it's a bug or the player was cheating but the grand slam melee weapon they used was throwing me off the map without touching me. Moreover in the first hit. This happened thrice in the same game with same player(Sparrow). I suppose the weapon needs to land a third hit to toss the enemy in the air. But this wasn't the case. The opponent was swinging their melee weapon from a 30-40m distance and I was repeated getting tossed. Kindly look into it!
