The latest EAC update broke AMD R9 7945 and similar CPUs — games freeze 10 minutes in, and your only fix is a reboot.

After the most recent EAC update, my game completely freezes about 10 minutes into every match. The screen locks up and I have to force restart my PC. My CPU is an AMD R9 7945. This issue only started after the EAC update, and other AMD users are reporting similar problems.

I've already tried:
Completely reinstalling Apex Legends.
Verifying the integrity of the game files.
Repairing/reinstalling Easy Anti-Cheat.
Reinstalling the EAC service using Apex's own EAC installer.
Restarting Windows multiple times.
Running DISM and SFC — both completed successfully.
Checking TPM 2.0 and Windows security settings.
Disabling Windows Defender and Firewall.
Disabling my VPN and other network/security-related software.
Confirming r5apex_dx12.exe exists and has a valid EA/Respawn digital signature.
and many other methods aswell but it keeps freezingit seems to be happening to AMD users only

I hope to fix this vicious bug as soon as possible, which greatly affects the acquisition of resources in the game.

I have a desktop PC with an R5 7500F + RTX 4060. While playing ranked trios‑qualifier matches in a battle‑royale game, my PC suddenly blue‑screens and restarts mid‑game. I’ve ruled out CPU issues and it passed stress tests. But why does it never blue‑screen when I play team deathmatch? Does anyone know how to fix this? I’ve already tried all the solutions listed below, none worked. Also, my Windows 10 system has never been updated.

Hi team,
2 days ago, Apex started freezing on my Lenovo Legion Pro 5 16IRX8 rendering the device entirely dead and only possible way is to press and shutdown. At first I suspected a possible hardware issue, so I ran several stress tests to rule out hardware instability.
Tests performed:
OCCT CPU — 20 minO
CCT GPU — 20 min
OCCT Memory — 20 min
OCCT Power — 20 min
FurMark 1080p — 12 min
FurMark 1440p — 7 min
OCCT CPU — additional 30 min test, also stable
All tests completed without crashes or obvious instability. I've also taken the liberty of doing a Windows clean install because why not however the moment i installed Apex, boot it up the issue persists. I don't even need to load a game, it freezes after 5-10mins in the menu.
I've also tested Arc Raiders, which did not crash, while Apex continues to crash. Fortnite has also experienced crashes and both share the same anti-cheat (EAC)
At this point, I'm leaning towards the issue being related to Apex, Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC), or an interaction between EAC and my system/driver configuration, rather than a general hardware stability issue.
Can you provide further help on this.

same exact problem,My computer's CPU model is alsoAMD R9 7945,From what I understand, there are also many situations online that are exactly the same as what the blogger described, where the game completely crashes about ten minutes after running Apex, and you have to restart the computer to keep playing. This really affects my gaming experience, I hope this issue can be resolved quickly.
