Hi team,
2 days ago, Apex started freezing on my Lenovo Legion Pro 5 16IRX8 rendering the device entirely dead and only possible way is to press and shutdown. At first I suspected a possible hardware issue, so I ran several stress tests to rule out hardware instability.
Tests performed:
OCCT CPU — 20 minO
CCT GPU — 20 min
OCCT Memory — 20 min
OCCT Power — 20 min
FurMark 1080p — 12 min
FurMark 1440p — 7 min
OCCT CPU — additional 30 min test, also stable
All tests completed without crashes or obvious instability. I've also taken the liberty of doing a Windows clean install because why not however the moment i installed Apex, boot it up the issue persists. I don't even need to load a game, it freezes after 5-10mins in the menu.
I've also tested Arc Raiders, which did not crash, while Apex continues to crash. Fortnite has also experienced crashes and both share the same anti-cheat (EAC)
At this point, I'm leaning towards the issue being related to Apex, Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC), or an interaction between EAC and my system/driver configuration, rather than a general hardware stability issue.
Can you provide further help on this.
getting the exact same issue, ive been troubleshooting for hours

So it's a bit embarrassing but I found out that when I set my PC back up after I moved, I plugged my monitors into my Motherboard and not my GPU, which caused Apex to try to run on the internal graphics and crash, feel like a dummy, but fixed!
