Description:
Cross-platform friends do not appear in the in-game friends list as "Online," even when both parties are actively in the lobby, making it impossible to send or receive squad invites.
Shifting away to other cross platform games because of this bug.
Key Details:
Search Confirmation: When using the "Find Friends" feature and searching by EA ID, the system correctly identifies the user as "Already Friends" (marked with a green checkmark).
Visibility: The friends do not appear in the "Apex Friends" section of the list at all, and they even not seen in the "Offline" category regardless of their actual status.
Consistency: This issue persists even after multiple game restarts, region switches and ensuring "Cross-Platform Play" is enabled in ps5 settings.
Steps to Reproduce:
Log into Apex Legends on ps5 or pc
Have a cross-platform friend log into Apex Legends.
Open the Friends Menu.
Observe that the friend is missing from the list
Search for the friend via "Find Friends" to confirm the game recognizes the friendship exists.
Expected Result:
Cross-platform friends should appear in the "Online" section of the friends list with their respective platform icon (Controller for Console, Rig for PC) when they are in the lobby.
Actual Result:
Friends are invisible, preventing squad formation.
