Crypto drone squad number

Often times, Crypto's drone miscounts the amount of squads that are around. I've launched my drone several times where there was not the right amount of squads around. The drone counts whoever is within 200 meters of it normally.

Because of that, I got jumped by surprise recently when the drone told me that there was no squad around.

Well... in a real scenario anything can happen, there's lots of variables to account for.
Were you jumped right after you got the info from the drone or a while later?
Maybe another squad was chasing your squad for some time, but kept a distance until then?
Maybe they used some sort of teleport like wraith portal or Ash portal?
Maybe when you used the drone, they were on the edge of the scan-zone, and right after you pulled the drone out and got the info, they started chasing your squad and you sat in the building/cover, thinking you were safe but then got jumped?

It's hard to account for all of these possibilities without a replay of the match, but currently, we don't have anything like that... So testing in practice range and providing video evidence of bug reproduction is the only way for sth like this...

  • DivineEel26170  From what I've noticed when I had played as Crypto, the squad number perk doesn't count anyone within 200 meters of the drone, but rather it counts anyone within 200 meters of Crypto.

I had noticed this when I had sent out the drone to scout an area out, and had saw a team nearby. The team was within about 150 meters from the drone, while the drone was within about 100 meters of me, and it still said no one was nearby on the banners.
