Dear apex, please fix you game.
it's not possible to get penality in ranked if i crash because a cheater makes thr entire lobby crash and close the entire game multiple times.
please, fix your game, i've lost 2k rp from d1 back to d3 just cause of this.,
From my experience especially in Diamond 3+ lobbies I can tell that there seem to be only <500 players there per region or really not thousands for sure.
Given current rate of cheating I would say at least 10% of them are cheating -> so even if there are like 1000 players per region = 10% is 100 players.
Respawn could easily hire 1-2 people who constantly monitor stats, reports, flagged profiles and manually review them on daily basis.
Quite sure it is super easy to see stats for "games crashed" and just see which players were constantly in those lobbies to narrow the culprit.
Also say you review 10 players in one day -> ban them -> they have to get new profiles or start from lvl 0 = not playing higher ranked lobbies -> you can in the meantime review next 10 out of now remaining 90 players.
Quite sure soon the review would be basically instant, on current cheaters only and also cheaters might get tired of getting banned based on what e.g. Zeus report on what is going on in cheat related discord servers.
Can Respawn do that...for sure. Many including myself have even offered to do it as community service = for free.
So it is obvious that Respawn just think that this is ok, and intentionally decide not to do major changes. They work on some AI anti-cheat, maybe do some minor safety things but as everyone is reporting especially in Diamond4+ lobbies:
- people clearly create DDoS / server lags
- people can crash your game or server all together
- there are multiple exploits regarding teaming during soloq test, teaming as playing with multiple teams
- cheating is basically a normal part of the game now for at least 5 seasons in such lobbies, noone is really surprised to run into blunt cheater who has 2 brain cells and software plays for him
- matchmaking that puts Golds/Plats vs Masters/Preds
Only thing normal part of the community can do which is imo only hope - just quit the game until Respawn does something about above mentioned. Playing and complaining is same as playing and complaining about teammates = generates negative emotions, no progress and Respawn get their "active player numbers", adding to that people might even do some emotional in game purchases feeding Respawn money which in that case they love and for sure not do anything to improve the game as for them it is perfectly fine.
Losing RP because a cheater crashes the entire lobby is ridiculous. Players shouldn't be penalized for something they can't control. Hopefully the devs fix this soon and start reversing unfair RP losses.
Cheaters in Apex... are you mad! Crashing your game... dude you probably need to restart and update drivers and send to EA DXdiag info (sarcastic).
Yes, been around since 2025 as Directx crash, before that they just crashed your game. Anti-cheat team can't do ... much ... but hey! they forbid Imperialhal's "not cheating" RC filter at least :D look at the bright side.
