Which platform are you playing on? We've seen some other reports of this happening on Xbox and the team's currently looking into this, though there isn't currently a workaround or way to recover the prior settings unfortunately.
Im on xbox series x. Dude this sucks especially for new players on this game who are barely learning what everything does
