I got my first heirloom shards almost 3 years ago, and after that nothing else anymore. I’m way over the 200 hundred packs atp but still no sign of heirloom shards. My boyfriend as the same problem and I can assure you he is over 500 packs since he buys them quite often and he still hasn’t seen his third heirloom.

Its likely that both you and your boyfriend have made a miscalculation on the Apex pack count, as the granting of shards is guranteed and automatic on the opening of the 500th pack.
If indeed your boyfriend has purchased over 500 appropiate packs, then proof woild be needed to escalate this as a bug. In you reply please dont include any personal info in the proof.
There's no manual way to check the count atm.

I keep a manual count on a note on my phone, currently 210 of the 500.
Heirloom shards have a roughly 0.045% chance to drop before 500 packs. Very likely they have miscounted. It's impossible for you to go over 500 without receiving one.
