Matchmaking bug

For some reason even though I live in New Jersey (I’m from New York) I almost never get matched with northeastern players. I usually get players from the south or Midwest. Lately I’m also encountering a lot of South American player such as Brazilian Players or Mexican players which isn’t a bad thing necessarily but more local online matching would be appreciated.
