Mouse/Keyboard lighting effects setting not saving.

Just wondering if its an issue with my PC or if it is happening to other players as well, but my keyboard and mouse won't use the Apex lighting effects, (and when I restart the game, the setting would automatically turn itself off).

I know my keyboard and mouse are compatible with the lighting effects as The Sims 4 and Fortnite will take control of my keyboard and mouse's lighting and I had the lighting effects working for Apex before in the past.

For those who don't know, the lighting effects changes the color of the keyboard and mouse based off of the environment and other game events.

For example:

• When selecting a legend, the lighting will match a color theme for that legend, (a purple color for Wraith, greenish-yellow for Octane, etc.)
• When healing, the lighting will go red and then light up green from left to right, taking over the red, (which it does this with reviving as well)
• When moving to a different part of the map, the lighting will change to match the area
• When getting knocked, the lighting would flash, go out, and then be red

While not really important or needed to play the game, the lighting effect is just something I enjoy.

Its also possible that its an issue with Razer Synapse, (although I've already tried repairing/reinstalling Razer Synapse).

Have been having the same issue, symptom is exactly the same. Can't remember since when it has stopped working, just started looking into this issue. Have you found a solution?

Have you contacted support of either side (EA / Razer)? I tested with other chroma compatible games and noticed that some older games also don't work. So I'm guessing that something (perhaps an update?) is causing the games to no longer be recognized by the chroma connect app...🤔 So maybe it's something only the devs can fix...?

GuiltyGrey​ I've already reported it to EA, but I haven't contacted Razer yet since it still works for Fortnite and The Sims 4.

However, before I contact Razer, I'll try doing a full reinstall of Razer Synapse and its drivers.

GuiltyGrey​ I just reinstalled Razer Synapse by completely removing it first, (including the associated registry files and folders), and that sadly did not fix the issue.

In fact, Razer Synapse just says "no supported app running at the moment", despite Apex running in the background with the lighting setting turned on:

Since the lighting effects works in other games that I play, I do wonder if it is just being phased out of Apex, (which would be an honest shame), however according to a thread on Razer's forums, many players have pointed out that it seems to be caused by DX12 breaking the link between the game and Razer Synapse:

As a long time player I have used this feature since the beginning. If you search my profile you can see this is not the first time this has happened. This needs addressed by EA. Or Respawn. Either way the files were changed around the time I first reported this two months ago. Some are saying it's the switch to dx12 but I have been on that for more than a year.

There are two issues here. Apex Legends does not save the lighting effect option, and the lighting files are unable to be read from Razer software. 

Razer is seeing the game open as my keybinds change when I open Apex Legends however the lighting files are not up to date to let Razer see this app for lighting control. 

This stopped working from an Apex Legends update. Please look into this already! You guys did all that work to update this a year or two back just to completely drop the ball. What gives?

As a daily player and looking at my comments as this fell apart. I do not believe this is on Razer at all. This was noted on reddit as it happened.

All other chroma apps work for me. There is also a beta available from Razer that addressed certain apps not being detected and this is the only app I can not get lighting to work from.
