Reticle changes to black every launch

I've never had this issue before, it recently started happening. My reticle colour keeps getting put into the minimum integer value (-2.1474836e+09, I attached an image), and it shouldn't be possible since Apex uses the 8-bit per channel RGB. 

Is there a possibility R5 has anything to do with this, that it's conflicting with my settings somehow? I play Apex on Steam though which is in another directory itself.
