Controller on PC Shoots by itself

Whether it is an infantry weapon or a vehicle weapon, the weapon will shoot continuously unprompted. This happens when using my Gamesir controller (my only controller) on pc. This would happen prior to Season 4, but with the notable exception that only a single round would be fired and only for infantry weapons. Now, with Season 4, the problem has spread to vehicle weapons also and now fires continuously. The problem does not occur when I use mouse and keyboard exclusively. 

My controller's firmware is up-to-date, Steam Input is enabled. I have verified the integrity of the game's files, which did not work as a solution. Please help, I cannot meaningfully play the game with this pervasive issue.
