Controller on PC Shoots by itself

Sadly this has been tried and does not resolve it for me. Once any gunfight starts. it will happen to me . I appreciate the suggestion tho. 

I disabled Steam input, and the issue hasn't happened since. PS4 controller via USB on PC.

Yeah, this has been frustrating, to say the least. It's a shame that a feature likely introduced to combat cheaters is instead affecting legitimate players who just want to enjoy the game they paid for.

Meanwhile, it feels like every other match you run into actual cheaters who aren't being stopped.

From everything I've been reading, this doesn't seem to be a new issue either. It sounds like it's existed for a while and has only become more widespread since the latest update.

If it continues to get worse, it's only a matter of time before the YouTube hivemind catches wind of it. Once that happens, every other video will be talking about how the game is "broken" hurting the playerbase as a result, which would be a real shame because I've genuinely been enjoying Battlefield 6 despite this issue.

This is another post in the technical forum of the same issue from Aluvare with multiple steps to follow but nothing works as I have done the same.

"I've been playing BF6 on PC using a Nacon Revolution Pro 5 controller for a while now.

Since I started playing, I've had an issue where my gun would occasionally misfire. It wasn't constant just an extra shot here and there. It was annoying, but I could live with it.

However, about an hour ago, the issue became much worse. As soon as I load into a match, my weapon immediately starts firing continuously and won't stop unless I click the left mouse button. The controller itself isn't physically stuck, and this only happens in-game.

I've spent some time researching the problem, but I'm finding a lot of conflicting information. The most common explanation I've seen is that the anti-cheat system thinks I'm using some kind of mod or macro and is intentionally causing the issue.

I'm not using any mods, macros, or cheats of any kind.

I've already tried all of the common troubleshooting steps, including:

• Restarting everything (PC, game, controller)
• Enabling/disabling Steam Input
• Recalibrating the controller
• Updating the controller firmware
• Testing different controller settings
• Removed any conflicting BT devices (using KeyChron Keyboard , Corsair Mouse, Sony Headset are all i have on) 
• Unmap firing from M&K 

Unfortunately, none of that has helped.

It's really frustrating because the game was at least playable before, and now I literally can't play using my controller. I don't want to switch to mouse and keyboard since I've always played FPS games with a controller, and if i knew this would have been an issue i wouldnt have purchased the game to begin with

Has anyone else experienced this with the Nacon Revolution Pro 5 or any controler for that matter, or does anyone know of a fix? I have seen some information about the Steam Controller doing something similar but no fixes helped me .Any help would be greatly appreciated."

Hey, I am having the same issue regardless of the controller I am using (PS5 or Xbox). I've done everything you have mentioned as well including resetting key bindings however no luck. Hoping there is a fix soon as the game is unplayable until they fix it.

Also to add to this, the glyphs on the screen while playing are constantly changing between controller and keyboard even though I am only playing on controller. The bug follows me from in game back to the menu and into the firing range. Only way to fix it is to click left mouse button,

Yeah I just noticed this today as well my guns are auto shooting with this latest update I tried everything on my end to fix it I think it's because BF doesn't disable or has a feature to disable MnK when Controller is attached like other games

This has been happening to me with the new steam controller since June and is making the game straight up unplayable. The lack of fix and communication about this issue is beyond frustrating.

I had this issue on PC, with mouse and keyboard. Full-Auto guns would fire continuously, Semi-Auto would fire ONCE but not let me fire it when I clicked the mouse. Vehicle weapons weren't affected.

MY FIX: I power cycled my mouse (took the battery out, then back in) and it was normal after that, hasn't come back yet 🤞 So maybe try that on your controllers and/or unplugging any USB connection if it's wired to reset it. 

I have the same issue using a PS5 edge controller on PC. It started after the Season 4 update on 21 July. My weapon keeps firing after I release R1. It did not happen before the update.  

This makes the game not playable because it affects every gunfight. Please investigate and prioritize a fix.

I'm having the same problem as mentioned above with my PS4 controller linked through USB. Prior to season 4, it was random. But now it's continuous like a stuck button. Even in the firing range, it just keeps shooting, and nothing will stop it.
