Day 10 of my Support Specialist 3 challenge not updating

Been stuck on "deal damage with the Incediary Airburst Launcher as Support" challenge for 10 days. I have gotten countless kills and assists with this weapon but it simply does not update the damage ...

I read on a different thread that it only counts direct hits from the projectile, so the fire damage does not count towards the challenge. Since then I've managed to get my dmg count to go up VERY slowly. I think it does 12 dmg with direct hit from the shell, so you need 84 direct hits to finish the challenge.
