"Deal damage with grenade launcher" not progressing normally

The weekly challenge where I have to deal damage using a grenade launcher doesn't progress when the assault classes' frag grenade launcher is mounted on the gun's attachment. For me, it happened with assault rifles, but I don't know if it happens with other guns too.

The challenge progresses normally when I'm holding the launcher it self, though.
